About Heather

 

Heather Monro has been a kinder teacher for over 25 years and now runs Kids Music Company in Australia. This involves running a music school in her home town of Pakenham, selling original CD's and books, doing music incursions for students and music workshops for teachers around Australia..

In her music teaching, she incorporates a lot rhythmic work using claves, drums, shakers, clapping, stamping, etc.

Heather has always had a passion for books and as a young person dreamed that one day she would write her own book. She received her Diploma in children’s literature in 2002 from the University of Journalism. Writing a book that has rhythm goes hand in hand with music. So writing Peggy was a logical step for Heather to take.
